How much are house cleaning services?

That depends on the size of your home and the hours required to clean it. Our recommended number of hours is based on the information you provide about your home. You can change this number based on what you need. The housekeepers set their own rates, which currently range from $26 to $33 per hour. If condition of the home or your requirements change on the day of service, the housekeeper may let you know and discuss an updated, mutually agreeable estimate.

How long should house cleaning take?

It depends entirely on what you need. The minimum booking length is 3 hours, but you can always request a longer booking if you need one. Our recommended number of hours is based on the information you provide about your home. But, you know your home best, so we encourage you to change the recommended hours as you see fit.

Which cleaning professional will come to my home?

Anita’s Housekeeping has a big network of experienced, top-rated cleaners. Based on your requested date, time, and specified priorities, we assign the best professional available. If you like working with a specific cleaning professional, let us know so the professional will be requested first for all of your future bookings. Prior to your appointment, you will also receive notification with details about your professional

Does house cleaning include laundry?

If you would like the cleaning professional to help with your laundry, please make sure to mention this in your priorities list so the professional can be sure to set aside enough time to clean your home and still have time for laundry. If you do not have a washer and/or dryer, please make sure to mention this in your priorities list so the cleaning professionals knows how much time to allocate for laundry.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our goal is to be helpful and flexible to your needs. But, we have some rules. These rules are designed to promote a reliable and consistent experience for customers like you and the cleaning professionals. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more information.

What forms of payment do you take?

We only take credit card or debit card payments. You are charged immediately after service is rendered.

Which cities or areas do you currently operate?

We currently operate in the entire San Diego County and all of Santa Cruz County.

How much should I tip my cleaner?

Tipping is always appreciated by cleaners who go above and beyond, but never required. It’s a great way to show your appreciation for your cleaner and a job well done. In our experience, we have found that cleaners are much more likely to pick up your jobs and change their own schedules to meet yours when you’ve tipped them in the past. And, if your cleaner works hard or travels a long way to get to your house in bad weather, it’s a nice way to show your appreciation.
If you choose to tip your cleaner through Anita’s, 100% of your tip will get pass to the cleaner—we do not take any percentage. You just have to make sure that you indicate the amount of your tip.

What if something is damaged by the cleaning professional?

The referred cleaning professionals treat your home with the greatest care; however, should damage occurr while they clean your home, your independent housekeeper will be responsible for all damages.
